The values we teach our children – MCC Budapest Summit 2022 a huge success

The MCC Budapest Summit 2022, a major international conference organized by Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) ended with great success. The conference was seeking to shed light on the values we teach our children. On the second day of the event - 17 February 2022 - exciting discussions and book presentations involved more than 30 speakers from Hungary and abroad and an audience of nearly 750 people. MCC, as a talent development institution aims to become the largest and most dynamic think tank in Hungary - and even in Central Europe.

The first day of the MCC Budapest Summit 2022, the largest international conference organized by Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), was a huge success. More than 30 speakers and over 500 visitors attended the large-scale event on 16 February 2022. As a talent development institution, MCC aims to become the major and most dynamic think tank in Hungary - and even in Central Europe.

The two-day conference focused on the topic “On the Values We Teach Our Children.” This year MCC hosted more than 30 guest speakers who shared their insights in roundtable discussions. More than 750 people attended the conference to listen to the internationally renowned experts from around the world.

Environmentalism is the new religion - The Hungarian translation of Michael Shellenberger's bestseller presented at the MCC

The recently published Hungarian translation of Michael Shellenberger's bestseller Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All was presented in the framework of an exclusive discussion organized by Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) and the Climate Policy Institute. Michael Shellenberger is an environmental activist, one of the most influential, multiple award-winning environmental writers in the United States who is also an expert for the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Shellenberger's book has been translated into sixteen languages so far. The Hungarian edition was now published in collaboration with Gingko Kiadó and MCC Press and launched on 15 November.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Mathias Corvinus Collegium jointly organized the first presentation of the German edition of the book "A Thousand Years in the Middle of Europe—The Character of the Hungarian State" at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences on 16 November 2021 in Berlin. In addition to the editors of the volume, the presentation and the subsequent panel discussion was also attended by Parliamentary State Secretary Steffen Bilger MP.

Hungary's judge at the Strasbourg-seated European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), Prof. Dr. Péter Paczolay, and Hungary's state agent (representing the Government), dr. Zoltán Tallódi, a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Justice talked with Dr. Márton Sulyok, the head of the Public Law Center regarding questions on the operation and processes of the ECtHR, and in terms of the day-to-day management tasks regarding concrete cases.

The first training weekend marked the start of the fifth academic year of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC) Transylvanian School of Politics. MCC supports the development of more than 3,700 young talents in the new academic year

The interest in Mathias Corvinus Collegium's (MCC) unique training programs is growing: the talent development center starts the new academic year with more than 3,700 students. The expansion of the Foundation has been significant also in geographical terms. MCC programs are now available in 23 cities across the Carpathian Basin. In the academic year 2021/2022, several new teachers and lecturers from home and abroad will join MCC to help students who are willing to act for their future and as well as the nation.
