As debates over EU enlargement intensify, particularly regarding accelerated paths for Ukraine, the question of fairness, readiness, and institutional integrity has never been more pressing. In this timely discussion, Stefano Arroque, Visiting Fellow at the Danube Institute and researcher specializing in EU affairs and Central/Eastern European politics, joins Dr. Péter Szitás, Deputy Director of Research at the Danube Institute and expert in geopolitics, to argue that "jumping the line" on accession undermines the very foundations of the European project.
