Attila Menyhárd Ph.D. is professor of civil law and the former head of the Civil Law Department at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, where he graduated in law in 1993. During his studies he became a member of ELTE Bibó College of Law and Political Sciences. He was admitted to the Budapest Bar Association in 1997. He obtained his PhD degree in 2003 at ELTE Law School with a thesis on immoral contracts. Besides his work on the codification of the new Hungarian Civil Code for the Ministry of Justice, and his work as an arbitrator, more recently, Prof. Menyhárd has been a research professor working for the Information Society Research Institute operating at NKE, the National University of Public Service, on various topics of liability and AI, data economy in general and in various service and industrial sectors as well as the effects of the technological revolution on the role of the state.
