Summer Highlight: The Role of History and Memory in Constitutionalism
We kick off the summer with a major international gathering focusing on the intersection of our past and our legal frameworks.

Autumn 2026: Research Seminar Series
Our Autumn semester features a diverse lineup of seminars, bringing together leading academic voices from Oxford, Cambridge, and London.
On 22 September 2026, Nick Barber (University of Oxford) joins us to explore the fundamental question: What is constitutional ideology?
The series continues on 1 October 2026 with Richard Bourke (University of Cambridge), who will discuss The Role of History in Humanities and Social Sciences.
November features two distinct perspectives on constitutional power:
- 5 November 2026: Vilija Vėlyvytė (King’s College London) examines Judicial Authority in the EU: Balancing Competences and Powers.
- 26 November 2026: Richard Johnson (Queen Mary University of London) presents on Strengthening the Political Constitution.
We conclude the year with two deep dives into the nature of sovereignty and inclusion:
- 1 December 2026: Hans Lindahl (Queen Mary University of London) discusses Authority and the Globalisation of Inclusion and Exclusion.
- 10 December 2026: Joel Colón-Rios (University of Essex) presents Sovereign Encounters: Why Constitutionalism Needs an Unlimited Lawmaker.
