Charles Michel, the current President of the European Council, is running in this year's European Parliament elections, creating the need for a new president for the European Council, which brings together the heads of state and government of the European Union.Hungary will take over the rotating presidency of the European Council in the second half of the year, raising the possibility that Viktor Orbán may temporarily assume this position.The aim of the presentation is to explore the possible consequences if Viktor Orbán temporarily takes over the presidency of the EU Council. We will also delve into the tasks that Hungary will undertake during this period and the responsibilities associated with the rotating presidency.
