BIO
Abdelmalek Alaoui is an Economist, a Best-Selling Author, and the Founding CEO of Guepard Group. He is the chairman of the Moroccan Institute of Strategic Intelligence (L’Institut Marocain d’Intelligence Stratégique). He is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris in Political Sciences and holds an MBA from HEC Paris. During his career, he has served over 100 missions for top African and European clients, including S&P 500 and CAC40 firms as well as government leaders. Alaoui also elaborated on several government sectorial strategies. He is featured weekly in Forbes France as a columnist and has been featured in Le Monde, Le Figaro, Les Echos, and several other major newspapers. The World Economic Forum of Davos named Alaoui one of its Young Global Leader (class of 2015). His latest book ‘Le Temps du Maroc’ (2021), is the Best-Selling Book in Morocco. His previous book ‘Le Temps du Continent’ (2017) addresses the issue of Africa’s development and received the Turgot Award for best Economics Book of the Year 2018. Since the end of 2020, he has been a member of the Strategy Group on Digital of the Africa-Europe Foundation. In 2024, The Blavatnik School of the University of Oxford appointed him as one of its Senior Fellows.
