The Russian-Ukrainian war undoubtedly diverts attention from almost every other issue. However, as the November Senate and House elections approach, analysts will increasingly be asking whether the Republican Party will run in the 2024 presidential election with or without Trump. What are the party's chances with or without Trump? Can the Republican Party once again appeal to the new (formerly Democratic) voters who were attracted by Trump in the next presidential election?
These are the questions Jon Shields, a researcher at Claremont McKenna College, seeks to answer in his presentation.
