To investigate these important developments, Mandiner, Mathias Corvinus Collegium, and the Christian Democratic Institute are hosting an important panel discussion to comprehensively analyze the recent Venezuelan developments. The event features Zsolt Németh, Chair of the Hungarian Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Zoltán Szalai, Director General of MCC, Alejandro Peña Esclusa, former Venezuelan presidential candidate, Senior Fellow at the Center for Fundamental Rights and Leading Expert at CDI and Rodrigo Ballester, Head of the Center for European Studies, as moderator. The event will not only explore the nature of Venezuela’s dictatorship but the global context that makes the fate of Venezuela a strategic issue for Berlin, Washington, and Budapest alike.
