A festive atmosphere, proud families, and memorable moments filled the halls of MCC Budapest as nearly one hundred students received their diplomas at the institution's graduation ceremony, marking the conclusion of the 2025/2026 academic year. For the graduates, the occasion represented both the culmination of years of dedication and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
The ceremony was much more than a formal academic event. It also served as a celebration of the MCC community, its values, and its long-standing commitment to supporting talented young people. Students, faculty members, and friends came together to reflect on years of achievement and to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class.
The event was enriched by artistic performances from students of MCC ARS, whose contributions reflected the creativity and diversity that characterize everyday life at the institution.
In his address, MCC Director General Zoltán Szalai spoke about the opportunities and challenges facing the next generation. He emphasized that understanding technological development and artificial intelligence, keeping pace with geopolitical developments, and maintaining a strong connection to one's cultural and national roots are all essential for success in today's world. He highlighted MCC's mission to provide students with competitive knowledge, a strong sense of identity, and a supportive community that remains with them throughout their lives.
Szalai also noted that MCC is now present in more than thirty locations across the Carpathian Basin and provides educational opportunities to more than eight thousand students. He described the institution's community as one of its greatest strengths, offering not only professional development but also lifelong personal relationships.
Balázs Orbán, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of MCC, reminded graduates that individuals are not defined solely by their achievements or diplomas, but by the goals and aspirations they pursue. He pointed to MCC's own history as evidence that long-term thinking and ambitious goals can create lasting value. For more than three decades, he noted, the institution has remained committed to the same mission: identifying talent, creating opportunities, and building community for young Hungarians across the Carpathian Basin.
The ceremony's guest of honour, MCC founder András Tombor, also addressed the graduating students. Reflecting on the institution's long-standing motto, Bonus intra, melior exi, he encouraged graduates to leave MCC not only with greater knowledge but also with stronger character and a deeper sense of responsibility. He emphasized that true success is built not only on knowledge, but also on continuous self-improvement, personal responsibility, and service to one's community.
The event also marked the first presentation of MCC's Community Award, Professional Award, and Holló Award. These recognitions were given to students and community leaders whose outstanding achievements, exemplary work, and commitment to community building have left a lasting impact on the life of the institution.
The highlight of the ceremony came as graduates of the University Program, the Roma Talent Program, and MCC's postgraduate programs received their diplomas. By doing so, they not only completed an important stage of their academic journey but also officially joined MCC's growing alumni network of thousands of former students.
The celebration concluded with group photographs, congratulations, and emotional reunions among students, families, and mentors. While the graduates now embark on new paths, the knowledge, friendships, and community experiences gained at MCC will remain with them. As the ceremony's message made clear, a diploma is not the end of a story, but the beginning of a new one.
