The Szolnok center of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium Youth Talent (FIT) Program also joined the charity call of the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid: senior students and their parents collected nonperishable food and toiletries to create dozens of “love boxes” for those in need. The donations will be handed over to Imre Hubai, the chairman of the county assembly, on November 30 at the County Hall.

The aim of the national “Lovebox” fundraising campaign announced by the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid service is to help families in need and make everyday life easier for them. The campaign started on November 2 and will last until November 30, but it was extended until December 4 in Szolnok. Loveboxes can be dropped off at the County Hall reception on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. On Mondays between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., Imre Hubai, the chairman of the county assembly, will personally take over the donations.

Following an appeal from the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid, the local FIT organization of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium also launched a fundraiser among senior secondary students and their parents. Thanks to them, more than a dozen “loveboxes” of food and toiletries have been collected so far. At the request of the organizers, gift packages can only contain nonperishable food (canned food, tea, dry pasta, coffee, lentils, flour, cooking oil, sweets, etc.) or toiletries (toothpaste, shower gel, soap, detergent, etc.). The FIT students of Mathias Corvinus Collegium will hand over the collected donations packed in recyclable boxes to the president of the county assembly, Imre Hubai, at the County Hall on November 30 at 2 p.m.
