Between the 13th and 19th of July, two members of the Center for Constitutional Politics, Márk Dudás and Botond Fórizs attended a summer course held by the James Madison Program at the Princeton University.

The seminar focused on the moral foundations of law and included such esteemed lecturers as John Finnis, Professor Emeritus of Law and Legal Philosophy the University of Oxford, Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence at the University of Princeton, Gerard Bradley, Professor Emeritus of Law at Notre Dame Law School and the Honorable Justice Bradley W. Miller, from the Court of Appeal for Ontario. 

The discussed topics included, among others, the natural law theory of St. Thomas Aquinas, the main theories of political morality, different beginning-of-life and end-of-life issues and the nature of judicial power.

The fee of the summer course was supported by MCC’s Training Grant.
