The central theme of the three-day international MCC Budapest Summit was how to strike a balance between innovation and tradition in a rapidly evolving world. Nearly 60 experts from 20 countries shared their insights on the development of artificial intelligence, the societal impacts of innovation, and the importance of preserving human dignity and cultural values.
At MCC Veszprém, Josefina Gimenez, Director of Research and Innovation at Artimon, and Róbert Papp, Researcher at the European Center for Political Philosophy at MCC, engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on algorithms and whether we still think independently.
Josefina Gimenez shared the latest findings from her research, offering insights into how algorithmic systems influence human decision-making, behavior patterns, and everyday interactions.
Participants gained a deeper understanding of how digital systems—such as social media algorithms—shape our newsfeeds and, often, our decisions. The event served as a valuable platform to explore how autonomous human thinking is being transformed by technology and what new questions arise from this complex relationship.
Veszprém is not only vibrant in terms of culture but also intellectually dynamic. It is encouraging to see that young people are open to in-depth, scientific dialogue and actively seek out forums where real questions can be addressed.
