This summer, Esztergom will once again host one of Hungary’s most distinctive public affairs and cultural events, as ticket sales have officially opened for the 2026 edition of MCC Feszt, taking place between July 30 and August 1. In recent years, the festival has become a unique meeting point where thought provoking professional debates, world renowned speakers, and exceptional musical programs come together within a single event.
MCC Feszt has grown into one of the most prominent summer events in Hungary’s intellectual landscape, offering a platform where culture, public affairs, and meaningful recreation meet. For three days, the city on the banks of the Danube transforms into more than a festival venue, creating space for substantive discussions, engaging exchanges, and genuine encounters.
From its inception, the festival has been guided by the idea that intellectual engagement and community experience can reinforce one another. This year, visitors can expect a renewed spatial design and a more focused professional program structure. The mission remains unchanged: to address the most pressing issues shaping Hungary and the wider world in an accessible yet engaging way.
The program will feature renowned Hungarian and international speakers, decision makers, researchers, and opinion leaders. Alongside the professional discussions, cultural and musical performances will once again play a defining role throughout the three days, with world music and contemporary concerts offering enriching experiences for participants.
The previous edition of MCC Feszt set new records in both attendance and engagement. Interest in the professional programs reached unprecedented levels, with continuous crowds filling the Edu Promenade throughout the day, while evening concerts attracted thousands of visitors. On the closing day, Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, also took part in the festival, addressing a packed main square in Esztergom on the role of the younger generation, global political challenges, and Hungary’s future.
In previous years, MCC Feszt has hosted a distinguished lineup of international speakers, including Dominic Cummings, Co-Founder and Campaign Director of Vote Leave; Patrick Deneen, Professor at the University of Notre Dame and Political Philosopher; Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Bestselling Author and Founder of the AHA Foundation; Michael Shellenberger, Bestselling Author and CBR Chair of Politics, Censorship, and Free Speech at the University of Austin; and Peter Thiel, Technology Entrepreneur, Investor, and Philanthropist. Their participation reflects the festival’s commitment to bringing globally recognized voices to Hungary and fostering high level public discourse.
Over the years, MCC Feszt has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to Esztergom and has established itself as one of Hungary’s most distinctive festivals at the intersection of public affairs, culture, and light music. This year’s edition continues to build on that strong community and professional legacy.
