At the yearly General Conference of the ECPR (European Consortium for Political Research) held at the Charles University in Prague 4-8 September, Kálmán Pócza and Márton Csapodi participated in the panel “Constitutional pluralism and the role of courts in the European judicial network: competition, dialogue, or backlash?”.  They presented their findings on the competence-conflicts between national high courts and the EU Court of Justice. Their arguments, based on the basic tenets of radical constitutional pluralism and political realism, underscored the importance of intergovernmental political mechanisms in resolving these judicial conflicts. They emphasized that political compromises have been vital for the EU's survival, advocating for the strengthening of these mechanisms to ensure continued stability and integration.
