Cultural self-hatred is a social disease that often strikes civilizations during a period of decline. Many aspects of the social turmoil and internal fragmentation currently experienced by Western societies are deeply rooted in oikophobia, a phenomenon that arises under specific socio-historical conditions. While most people recognize that cultural self-hatred has been on the rise for some time, we can only fully understand it by acknowledging that it is, unfortunately, a "natural" tendency that has plagued the West since ancient times. By understanding this development, we can look to the future with greater confidence, knowing what measures will be necessary to slow the decline and defeat this dangerous self-hatred.
