Mobility and transport are commonly understood as issues for engineers and transport planners. But this perspective alone is not sufficient enough to cope with the mobility challenges of a modern society. Instead, this course establishes an understanding of transportation as an economic, ecological and social phenomenon. How can our political system shape the future of transportation? To answer this question, this course will look into the role of governance structures, transportation finances and non-governmental actors.
