In the world of globalization, it is really important to think about the way we can define ourselves in order to avoid being rootless. Culture gives us the ability to define ourselves, and define the values we are living by. Each of our nations has its own history, beliefs, habits, and cultural heritage. Philosophy helps us to get a deeper knowledge of our existence, and the values our society is built on, thus we have the opportunity to reflect on the way we think and live. What kind of change could the disappearance of cultures can make in people's identity? Is it even possible to build up a global culture? Is it necessary for nations to fight for their cultural heritage? How does philosophy help us to preserve it?
