Yuan Yi Zhu is an Assistant Professor of International Relations and International Law at Leiden University and a Research Associate at the University of British Columbia’s Centre for Constitutional Law and Legal Studies, with previous fellowships at Oxford and Policy Exchange. His research focuses on UK and Commonwealth constitutional law, judicial power, and public law history, including a co-edited volume arguing for the soundness of the UK’s traditional constitutional arrangements. He is a legal columnist at The Critic, a regular reviewer for The Times, and a widely published commentator whose work has been cited by multiple national parliaments.
