Loretta is a Foreign Policy journalist and senior editor working for Hungarian conservative daily Magyar Nemzet. She is a PhD student at Corvinus University of Budapest, in the Institute of Communication and Sociology. Much of her scientific work belongs to the linguistic field of (socio)pragmatics, focusing on the social dynamics of highly confrontational interaction. Her main field of research is the role of social networks in (political) communication. She completed her doctoral dissertation entitled „Diplomacy in 280 characters: The development of international relations in the golden age of twiplomacy”. She also teaches communication studies at Pázmány Péter Catholic University as a guest lecturer.
