He started by saying that, although we might not think it, there are common elements in our history, including on the royal level, and confirmed that there is a very good relationship between our countries at the social and cultural levels.

The main area where there is still a lot of room for improvement, and this is also the Ambassador's objective, is the economy: unfortunately there are few Portuguese companies in Hungary, and vice versa. The Ambassador underlined how important it is in Europe to have freedom of expression. We also referred to the Ambassador's previous places of service: Mexico, India, countries in which he sees great potential, even with their problems, as he sees great potential in our country. At the end of the event, the audience was also invited to ask questions.
