Student-led initiatives continued to play an important role in life at Mathias Corvinus Collegium during the 2025/2026 academic year. A total of 31 student projects and 12 student communities were active across MCC, providing opportunities for students to turn their ideas and interests into professional and community initiatives.
In Budapest, students ran 21 projects and nine communities, two of which operated nationwide. A further 10 projects and three communities were organized at the regional level. The initiatives covered a broad range of activities, from professional programs and community events to charitable initiatives and projects focused on social responsibility.
The diversity of the projects reflects the wide-ranging interests of MCC students. Topics included diplomacy and international relations, entrepreneurship, technology, healthcare, arts, sustainability, and debate. While project teams typically consist of five to ten students, the programs they organize can attract audiences of several hundred participants.
Supporting student initiatives is an integral part of MCC’s approach to managing talented young people. Alongside academic learning, students are encouraged to put their knowledge into practice, take responsibility for their own initiatives, work together, and learn from one another.
Several student initiatives at MCC have grown from small ideas into increasingly popular professional events held year after year. Their development highlights the role that practical experience, initiative, and strong student communities can play alongside academic education.
