Gergely Csordás, a junior researcher at the Center for Law and Society and a fifth-year student at the University of Pécs, has received the Gábor Szabó Award in recognition of his outstanding academic and research achievements. Beyond his studies and research, Gergely has also distinguished himself through his active involvement in the Pécs community, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious recognition.
The award was established in memory of Gábor Szabó, a former department head who passed away in 2022. Each year, it recognizes students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their professional development while also making an active contribution to university life. The recognition includes a certificate, a medal, and a book prize, celebrating the recipient’s achievements to date while supporting their future professional aspirations.
Gergely’s recognition is particularly meaningful for our institution’s community in Pécs. He has been an active member of the Pécs community and the School of Law since 2021, playing an important role in both its professional and community life.
His achievement demonstrates how intellectual curiosity, dedicated professional work, and a strong commitment to one’s community can complement one another and help young people reach their full potential.
