For one week, English became the language of everyday communication at MCC English speaking summer camp in Veresszék, where students from Transcarpathia strengthened their communication skills through immersive, experience based learning. By using English in a wide range of practical situations, participants gained confidence while working toward the B2 language proficiency level.

The program combined debates, film screenings, games, and interactive discussions on topics including culture shock, moral dilemmas, and future inventions. Students also worked together to solve a fictional crime mystery, expanding their vocabulary while developing their argumentation skills and spoken English.

Learning continued beyond the classroom during a shared excursion to Miercurea Ciuc and the Csíksomlyó Pilgrimage Church, where participants communicated exclusively in English. This constant practice helped them apply their knowledge in real life situations and build greater confidence in using the language.

The camp builds on the recent success of several MCC students from Transcarpathia who have earned B1 and B2 English language certificates. By providing an engaging environment for continuous practice, the program supports students in developing practical language skills they need for their future academic and professional journeys.
