His Excellency Szabolcs Takács, Hungary’s Ambassador to Washington, visited MCC Pécs for an Ambassador Talk focusing on Hungarian–American relations.

Ambassador Takács highlighted the scale of economic cooperation, noting that thousands of American companies operate in Hungary and expressing confidence that further investments could reach regions such as Baranya. He also emphasized Hungary’s favorable position in maintaining close ties with one of the world’s most influential countries.

Referring to recent remarks by Donald Trump, the ambassador pointed out that Hungary has been cited as a positive example in the United States. He explained that shared values play a key role in strengthening political relations, particularly as both countries place increasing emphasis on cultural heritage, family, and traditional principles in a changing global environment.

The event concluded with an engaging question and answer session, where MCC students discussed a wide range of topics with the ambassador. As part of the Ambassador Talk series, the program offers students direct insight into international relations and the practical realities of diplomatic work.
