ADF International has been awarded this year’s Free Speech Prize in the Czech Republic, presented by Zoltán Szalai, Director General of the Mathias Corvinus Collegium (MCC), at a formal ceremony. The honored organization and MCC have collaborated for many years through various professional and educational programs.

Today, ADF International is one of the few international organizations that consistently stands up for free speech, common sense, and social normality: principles that are increasingly under pressure in many European countries. The organization’s work carries particular importance at a time when debates around freedom of expression are intensifying and the space for open dialogue is gradually shrinking.

For MCC, working with partners committed to free and responsible thinking is essential. As an interdisciplinary educational institution, MCC aims to educate young people who are capable of forming opinions confidently, engaging in debate, and thinking responsibly about global issues. As Director General Szalai emphasized, this mission is inseparable from respecting and institutionally safeguarding the principle of free speech.

The award ceremony was therefore not only a recognition of an international organization’s impactful work, but also a reaffirmation of the partnership between MCC and ADF International, an alliance dedicated to intellectual freedom and the responsible education of future generations.
