How Can We Stay Competitive in the Age of Artificial Intelligence? MCC and Modul University Students Search for Answers at First Joint Weekend Academy.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping economies, workplaces, and societies at an unprecedented pace. But how can future generations remain competitive, adaptable, and capable of navigating this rapidly changing world? Students from MCC and Vienna’s Modul University explored these questions together during the first joint Weekend Academy held in Révfülöp.

The multi-day professional program was designed to provide participants with an international, practice oriented learning environment focused on the social and economic impact of artificial intelligence. Through lectures, workshops, and collaborative projects, students gained insight into the future of AI while working together on solutions that examined the relationship between technological innovation and social well-being.

The academic program featured lectures by Dimitris Christopoulos and Ulrich Günter from Modul University, alongside Géza Sebestyén and Zoltán Cséfalvay representing MCC. Participants discussed a wide range of topics, including the long term economic effects of artificial intelligence, the relationship between prosperity and income, and the growing importance of data driven decision making in future societies.

Beyond the theoretical discussions, students also worked in small international teams using AI based tools to develop their own analyses and proposals. The project based format encouraged participants to learn from one another while strengthening not only their technological understanding, but also their cooperation skills, critical thinking, and international outlook.

The Weekend Academy also reflected MCC’s broader educational philosophy. The goal was not simply to introduce students to the latest technological trends, but to support young people who are capable of interpreting and shaping the processes transforming the modern world. The program in Révfülöp created an inspiring environment for professional development, international cooperation, and meaningful dialogue about some of the most important challenges of the future.
