MCC's German-Hungarian Institute for European Cooperation has published the third volume of its German-language book series, Beiträge zur deutsch-ungarischen Verständigung (Contributions to German-Hungarian Understanding). The series was launched to provide a regular publication platform that introduces Hungarian perspectives on the most important issues shaping German-Hungarian relations to German-speaking readers, while fostering dialogue and strengthening the long-standing ties between Hungary and Germany.
The newly released volume, titled Hungary, Europe and the World I, brings together a selection of scholarly works by researchers who have been affiliated with the Institute in recent years. Published by MCC Press in December 2025, the collection presents the work of distinguished scholars examining some of the most pressing political, social, and intellectual questions facing Europe today.
The contributions explore a broad range of topics, including the historical interconnectedness of European civilizations, the European Union's evolving role in a changing global order, and the conditions and future prospects of conservative politics in Europe. Additional chapters examine global political transformations since 1990, regional identities and political orders across Europe, the challenges of migration and cultural self-assertion, as well as the threats confronting Western democracies.
