We were delighted to welcome His Exc. Ambassador Phrommes Bhaholpolbhayuhasena, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Hungary, guest speaker at our Ambassador Talks series, during which we were able to learn about diplomatic protocol and cultural matters, as well as bilateral relations.
In addition to the Ambassador's diplomatic career, a number of interesting topics were discussed, such as: what opportunities Thailand offers for Hungarian companies; how digitalisation is affecting diplomatic protocol; how Thailand is striving to maintain its strong cultural roots in today's globalized world; are there specific Thai cultural customs or etiquette that are important to observe in a diplomatic environment. In addition, the Ambassador also described the success story of Thai gastronomic diplomacy, how Padthai, which is widely known in our country, has conquered the world, and the strategy behind this success story.
Moderated by Bence Bódis, a junior student at MCC, the event was closed with a Q&A session for the students.
