Uránia National Film Theatre hosted a packed audience for the Hungarian premiere of Taking Over, a documentary by Polish filmmaker Marcin Tulicki exploring recent political developments in Poland. The director himself attended the screening, which took place this evening with great success.
The film presents how Donald Tusk and the Polish left dismantled the rule of law in Poland, occupied state institutions and public media—often in violation of the constitution—and launched politically motivated proceedings against their opponents.
Following the screening, Former Polish Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro and Hungarian Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Gergely Gulyás discussed the lessons of the film, the current state of Polish domestic politics, the present and future of Hungarian–Polish relations, as well as further opportunities for V4 cooperation. The discussion was moderated by Zoltán Szalai, Director General of MCC.
