From professional training and international study trips to language camps and artistic achievements, the past semester offered a wide range of opportunities for students in MCC’s Roma Talent Program (RTP). Both in Hungary and abroad, participants gained new experiences while developing their knowledge, skills, and professional connections.
Training weekends remained an important part of the program, with sessions focusing on self-awareness, communication, teamwork, career orientation, argumentation, and geopolitics. Academic activities were complemented by community and team-building programs, giving students the opportunity to develop individually while strengthening connections within the RTP community.
The program was also represented at Educatio exhibition, where prospective students could learn more about the opportunities offered by RTP. In January, Roma Dialogue focused on perseverance, personal development, and the path toward achieving long-term goals, highlighting the importance of consistent work and commitment.
Learning also extended beyond the classroom. A winter camp in Starý Smokovec combined professional development with community activities, while a summer English camp in Veresszék focused on practical, conversation-based language learning. Through interactive exercises, students were encouraged to use English confidently in everyday situations.
International experiences were another important part of the semester. During a professional visit to Brussels, students gained first-hand insight into the work of the European Union. An educational trip to the United States took RTP students even further, with visits to New York and Washington, D.C. Students explored the American education and diplomatic environment, visited educational institutions, the Permanent Mission of Hungary to the United Nations, and the Embassy of Hungary, while also experiencing the country’s cultural and social environment.
RTP students also demonstrated their talents in arts. At the final of MCC ARS, high school students achieved outstanding results in singing, literature, and performing arts, reflecting the broad range of talents supported within the program.
Despite their diversity, the semester’s activities shared a common goal: creating opportunities for young people to discover and develop their abilities. Through academic learning, language development, international experiences, personal growth, and a strong community, the Roma Talent Program continues to provide an environment where students can broaden their horizons and build on their potential.
