The "Discover Hungary" trip with the Budapest Fellowship Program fellows was an enchanting experience, blending history with fortuitous weather. The journey began on Budapest’s first snowy morning of the season, transitioning to sunny skies that provided breathtaking views from Esztergom’s basilica.

At the basilica, the group delved into its rich history, exploring its grandeur and learning about Esztergom’s legacy as Hungary's first capital. The panoramic view from the hilltop location highlighted the city’s historical significance and natural beauty.

After the basilica visit, the fellows enjoyed a delightful lunch, engaging in discussions on various topics—and sharing a bit of culinary humor over the toppings. Refueled, they continued to the castle, marveling at its original structures and expertly reconstructed sections, which showcased the layers of Esztergom's architectural history.

The trip provided not only a deeper connection to Hungary’s past but also an appreciation for its cultural and natural treasures, making it a truly memorable day.
