As the closing event of the course, students in Kecskemét had the opportunity to welcome His Excellency Ignacio Enrique Ruiz Perea, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Hungary, for a special Ambassador Talk session.
The ambassador’s visit provided participants with a valuable insight into the everyday realities of diplomatic life. While the atmosphere of the discussion remained informal and approachable throughout, the conversation maintained a strong professional focus and encouraged active engagement from students.
Rather than simply listening to a lecture, participants joined the discussion through thoughtful questions and open dialogue. One of the central themes of the event was Colombia’s current challenges and opportunities, as Ambassador Ruiz Perea shared a nuanced perspective on the country’s geopolitical and social realities.
The discussion also offered students a closer look at the world of diplomacy beyond official ceremonies and public appearances.
