On 11 June 2024, a four-member delegation from the European Law and Governance School (ELGS), a university of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), paid a full-day visit to the MCC. The MCC signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the EPLO 2 years ago on academic, educational and international research activities, and the next step was for the ELGS academics to meet colleagues from several Directorates, Institutes, Centers, Schools and Workshops of the MCC. The meetings included presentations on the School of Law, its International Law and Public Law Center, the Minority Rights Unit of the MCC Cluj-Napoca Centre, the European Studies Center of the School of International Relations, the Center for Constitutional Politics within the School of Social Sciences, the PhD Programme of the MCC, the Postgraduate and Public Affairs and Leadership Programs, and the Career Center, with a focus on Alumni activities.
Representing the MCC, the delegation was received by Dr. Márton Sulyok, Head of the Public Law Center, who is also the MCC representative on the EPLO Board of Directors. The conclusion of the meetings on both sides was that there is a clear institutional commitment behind the partnership that is based on European values, which should be further strengthened in the fields of law, political science and European studies.
