Krisztián Márkus earned his degree in Community Organization with a specialization in Human Development at Széchenyi István University in Győr in 2022. During his professional internship at the university's Adult Education Center, he gained experience in education organization. His thesis research focused on community building, specifically examining the volunteer and social engagement of young people in high schools in Győr.
With a strong interest in public affairs, he began studying Political Science in Budapest in 2021. He holds an intermediate-level, comprehensive English language certificate.
He views his responsibilities at MCC as a connection between his two areas of expertise. He considers himself fortunate to have always been part of a community—family, friends, theater, school, student council, folk dance groups, or football teams—where the focus was on teamwork, recognizing it as the most effective and joyful way to succeed. He believes that experiencing the strength and joy of working together or for the community is essential in everyday life. Constantly exploring the questions, “How does one become active? How does one act for others?” he has found a creative and supportive community at MCC. Since June 2022, he has been working as a University Program Coordinator at MCC’s Győr Center.
