Arta Moeini is an international political theorist and the research director at the Institute for Peace & Diplomacy (IPD), an international affairs think tank committed to advancing realism in North Atlantic foreign policy. Dr. Moeini's current research focuses on the role of ideology in Western foreign policy in the context of the rise of a multipolar international system that also marks a turn toward post-liberal and civilizational political orders. Dr. Moeini has previously served as a senior advisor for policy at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). He was a 2021 Lincoln Fellow with the Claremont Institute in California and a post-doctoral research fellow at the Center for the Study of Statesmanship (CSS) at the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and Near Eastern Studies from University of California Berkeley, an M.A. in International Relations from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a Ph.D. (with distinction) and M.A. in Government from Georgetown University.
