Andrés de Castro is an Associate Professor of International Relations at UNED University, the largest public university in Spain. He received a PhD -summa cum laude- in International Security in 2015 and has  developed an international career with academic positions in several countries which include Chile (Associate Professor at the National Academy of Political and Strategic Studies), the USA as a visiting professor at New York University (2012) and Georgetown (2014) and as the Head of Department of Politics and International Relations in Iraq. He has almost a hundred academic publications and is a well-known author in the realm of Realism and Conservative Political Thought.
