He is a journalist and author who writes about the intersection between religion, culture, and politics. He is a senior editor at The American Conservative magazine, and author of five books, including the New York Times bestsellers "The Benedict Option" (2017) and "Live Not By Lies" (2020), both of which have been translated into over 10 languages. In his professional journalism career has lasted over three decades, Dreher has worked for the New York Post, the Washington Times, The Dallas Morning News, and National Review magazine. He has appeared on CBS, ABC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, the BBC, and other broadcast networks, and his commentary has been published in Time magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and other major publications. He is now working on a book about the recovery of wonder and the re-enchantment of the West. Dreher lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his wife and children, and is active in his Orthodox Christian parish.
