Paul Cliteur is the emeritus Professor of Jurisprudence for the Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Law at Leiden University. Professor Cliteur was the Academic Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Study of the Law from 2002-2010. He was also the professor of philosophy at Delft University from 1995-2002. His research focus is in the field of ethics, the philosophical foundations of the law. In particular, his research focuses on moral dilemmas around multicultural society, fundamental rights and the relationship between law and worldviews.
