Balázs Schanda is the Head of the Department of Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law, Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He served as Dean of the Faculty from 2007 to 2013. His main fields of expertise are freedom of religion, the relationship between church and state, and Hungarian and comparative ecclesiastical law. Since 2016, he has been a Member of the Constitutional Court of Hungary.
