Helmuts Azacis is a Reader (Associate Professor) in Economics at Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. He currently also serves as an associate editor of the International Journal of Economic Theory. His research is primarily in game theory and its applications. He has published in top field journals such as Journal of Economic Theory, Games and Economic Behavior, Economic Theory, International Journal of Industrial Organization, and Social Choice and Welfare. Recently, he has been studying what market outcomes a competition authority can achieve when firms possess more information than the competition authority about their production costs and they try strategically to benefit from this superior information.
