Most recently served as the Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana, as a member of Governor Eric Holcomb’s cabinet, leading the state’s domestic and international economic development implementing transformative initiatives to optimize economic development for the state world-wide.

Served as president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation under Governor and former Vice President Mike Pence, helping lead Indiana’s business growth and Hoosier job creation efforts. Key initiatives included the Indiana Regional Cities Initiative and the state’s $1 Billion Innovation and Entrepreneurship Initiative.  Appointed to the role in August 2015 after serving two years as a member of the IEDC Board of Directors.

Served as Chairman/CEO of CSO Architects, an architectural firm founded in 1961, having practiced architecture since 1984.  During leadership tenure, CSO led landmark projects such as the Indianapolis International Airport, the JW Marriott, and the Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.

Served as a member of the Dean’s Council for Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, board member for The International Center, and member of Governor Holcomb’s Executive Council on Cybersecurity.  Has also served on numerous civic boards including the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board, leading the new Stadium and Convention Center taskforce, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Catholic Community Foundation Board, and the Super Bowl 2012 Host Committee.  Currently, a member of American Institute of Architects as well as the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

Received numerous honors and awards.  Recognized twice with the Sagamore of the Wabash, the state’s highest civilian honor, in 2004 and 2016, as well as Kentucky Colonel in 2009, received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis in 2011, and honored with the Hungarian Knights Silver Cross of Merit in June 2018.
